Situated in the northeast quadrant of Central Ohio, it offers quick access to the Airport and downtown Columbus. Gahanna was founded in 1849 and its name is derived from a Native American word for three creeks joining into one and is the former name of the Big Walnut Creek.
The City of Gahanna's Official Seal refers to this confluence of three creeks with the inscription. In recent years, Creekside was built in downtown Gahanna and offers a picturesque area complete with a perfect mix of retail… office…a Conference and Event Center and residential condominiums with a large public parking area that helps bring visitors to all the events, including the Jazz and Food Festival.
Gahanna welcomes a lot of new residents each year and with all of the new employers, hopes to add even more new jobs for the City in the near future.
